Project: Big Ass Boombox

The Sunset will revive an former Ballard outdoor indie festival, Big Ass Boombox, bringing local emerging talent to the Ballard neighborhood in late spring 2024. Hosting bands in Sunset’s indoor space and building a new outdoor stage area, the program will be held over four days with set times staggered between indoor and outdoor stages. Big Ass Boombox is the realization of Sunset’s vision to create a local music festival that removes barriers to connecting under-appreciated and talented local bands with new fans and opportunities to grow and develop.
