Aaron Henderson

Aaron’s primary interests lie in grant funding pursuit, project and program design, and grant management. He holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Florida State University and his funding expertise has led to writing, submitting, securing, and managing over $4 billion in federal, state, and local grants and low-interest loans.

In his spare time, he enjoys working closely with small businesses to help them identify new opportunities for funding and plans to start his own small business in the next couple of years.

Bruce is an author, entrepreneur, and connector of people. He founded 5Points Creative in 2009, an award-winning, full-service marketing firm. 5Points Creative has received scores of accolades, including numerous Addy Awards, Communicator Awards, and 13 Telly Awards. The company works with about fifty clients in a wide range of industries including healthcare, senior living, banking, retail, and the nonprofit sector.

Bruce is a founding board member for the national nonprofit Help Save The Next Girl. After founding and running The DXDT Music Festival in Roanoke, Bruce founded The Spot on Kirk in 2015 — a nonprofit listening room located in the heart of the city. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Healing Strides of Virginia. Bruce is working on his second book & remains active in supporting small and mid-sized businesses.
