Project: Funkin' 50th Anniversary

2024 marks the historic Maple Leaf Bar's 50th anniversary! In celebration of this milestone, the venue is looking at new pathways to continue engaging their audience and carve out new pathways for business stability. Part of this initiative includes a new Weekly Wednesday Emerging Artist Showcase, and an oral history video project to highlight and archive the music legends that frequent Maple Leaf.

Maple Leaf Bar is an iconic neighborhood watering hole located on the funky Oak Street corridor, way uptown, New Orleans, Louisiana, and host to live music seven nights a week for most of its existence. You’ll find a unique mix of local legends, Grammy Award winners, musical heroes and up-and-coming talent on the stage nightly, and on occasion — all at the same time.
