Project: The Folk Collective

The Music in Action grant will fund the second year of The Folk Collective, an audience development initiative that Club Passim recently implemented to evolve and grow in order to meet the needs of the Cambridge and Boston community. Created by Shea Rose, Passim’s curator of music and culture, The Folk Collective is a quarterly gathering of twelve selected performers and cultural thought leaders. Through an active exchange of ideas and conversation, Passim aims to collaborate with The Folk Collective to present inclusive and equitable events that welcome and invite diverse audiences and artists to the Passim stage.

Venue Info

The mission of Passim is to provide truly exceptional and interactive live musical experiences for both performers and audiences, to nurture artists at all stages of their career, and to build a vibrant, inclusive music community. The nonprofit organization achieves this through a legendary listening venue, community music school, artist grants, and community programs.
