Cat Henry

Cat Henry is an arts executive and creative producer, specializing in nonprofit leadership and the visioning and planning of live concerts and public programs. In her role at Live Music Society, she supports the organization’s mission to positively impact a network of venues that provide space for both emerging artists and established musicians. Prior to this, Cat served as vice president, Concerts and Touring, for Jazz at Lincoln Center, where she managed the organization’s concert seasons at Frederick P. Rose Hall, worldwide touring of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, jazz club programming, concert marketing, and ticket sales. Cat is currently curator of jazz programs for Hudson Hall, where the annual Hudson Jazz Festival brings original, progressive artists to the City of Hudson, N.Y., and has consulted for Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and the March on Washington Film Festival. From 2005-2020, Cat programmed various special projects, including Summergarden: New Music for New York, in MoMA’s sculpture garden, and the Ertegun Jazz Series in Washington, DC. In 2021, Cat worked with poet-activist Mahogany L. Browne to produce her Restart Stages summer residency at Lincoln Center, leading to the artist becoming the organization's first ever Poet-in-Residence. Cat has served as a panelist at arts and music conferences, and adjudicator for the National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation on the Arts, Global Leaders Program, and New York Women’s Fund for Music. She is a graduate of UPenn’s Executive Program for Arts & Culture Strategy and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Performance from The New School.

Sarah McCauley

Sarah McCauley is Program Manager for Live Music Society and has been part of the team since 2021. In her current role, she is dedicated to sustaining the small venue ecosystem by overseeing the organization's Music in Action and Toolbox grants and supporting the current network of LMS grantees. Prior to joining LMS, Sarah worked as a social media manager for musicians, and as a research associate for Forte Analytics.  She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Business Management. Outside of work, Sarah plays flute and loves to see good music around New York.

Valerie Salerno

Valerie Salerno is a project research associate and music community ambassador for Live Music Society. In this position, she supports the organization with communications, venue research, and data organization. With over 10 years of experience as a professional musician, Valerie has performed at numerous small venues across the country, bringing a deep understanding of the live music scene to her work. Her blend of research expertise and hands-on performance experience makes her a valuable asset in promoting and preserving live music culture.
