Project: TACmusic Commissions

The TACmusic Commissions project is a landmark expansion of TACmusic Series. The program will provide artists with a comprehensive commission opportunity, including 2-3 weeks of exclusive access to TAC’s rehearsal and recording space, an audio technician, video documentation, and a live premiere of their work at TAC, plus a promotional package for the event.

TAC has been our ‘Room for Belonging’ since 1997.  We are home to TACmusic, supporting the experimental and creative music community of Oakland, and Arab.AMP, a platform supporting experimental live art, music, and ideas from the SWANA Diaspora and our allied BIPOC communities. TAC also operates as a subsidized gathering space to hundreds of Bay Area artists, musicians, healers, educators and activists, prioritizing service and access for BIPOC and LGBTQI+ communities to which we belong. We are a sanctuary space.
